The Water, Sewer & Gas Board of the Town of Wedowee operates as an independent public utility, separate and distinct from the Town of Wedowee. While the Town appoints the members of the Board of Directors in accordance with Alabama law and the Board's governing documents, the Utility Board maintains independent authority over its governance, finances, operations, and day-to-day management. This independent structure ensures that decisions are made with the sole focus of providing dependable, efficient, and financially responsible utility services to our customers.
Through responsible investment in our infrastructure, sound financial management, and long-term strategic planning, we are committed to maintaining reliable utility services today while preparing for the future needs of Wedowee and the surrounding communities.
